Cameras and Imaging Test Systems

The government's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) is an excellent tool for business' of BFE's size to get funding to develop products that may eventually be commercialized.  Such projects have helped BFE develop camera and imaging test systems that currently are optimized for InfraRed ReadOut IC's. 

BFE Products under development

• Miniature Infrared Cameras

  • reduce size, weight and power for uncooled infrared cameras

  • A 50 gram module is currently being developed with plans to eventually make a 10 gram version

• Multi-Aperature/Band Infrared Cameras

  • Fast frame rate

  • Large Format

  • PC-Based

Intellectual Property

BFE's innovation provides elegant solutions for common design needs.  In sensor readout and display designs, tools such as DAC's and ADC's are commonly used and often require high performance (speed, noise, DNL etc).  Through the efforts of designing these blocks for more specialized applications, this IP has proven to be useful for many other applications.
